  35. Q. What's new with 5.61??
  36. A. This is simply a version compiled under the latest version of
  37.    the development language, Visual Basic 3.0.

  39. Q. What is it?
  40. A. Printer's Apprentice is a font management utility for the Windows
  41.    3.1 operating environment. It helps you manage all your TrueType
  42.    and Adobe Type 1 fonts by printing inventory sheets (3 flavors!),
  43.    ANSI charts, keyboard layouts, and specimen sheets. It was noted
  44.    as the *BEST* Windows font utility by PC Magazine (10/27/92) and 
  45.    features one of the sharpest interfaces around.

  47. Q. So... What's New with 5.6?
  48. A. Printer's Apprentice has been built with a faster compiler,
  49.    works better with TrueType, has a sharper interface, faster
  50.    loading and printing, and two more new font inventory sheets,
  51.    font file inventory lists, it now tells you which fonts are
  52.    TrueType, ATM, etc... New "Instant Help" tells you exactly what
  53.    each screen and toolbox item does.

  55. Q. How do I install this program real quick?
  56. A. Run INSTALL.EXE. This will decompress the files and copy them
  57.    to the right places on your hard drive.

  59. Q. How do I remove the program if I need more space on my machine?
  60. A. There is a file named INSTALL.LOG located in the PA directory. This
  61.    lists out *every* file and program manager group added to your system.

  63. Q. What happened to the documentation file?
  64. A. Everything has been placed in a Windows help file. Just click
  65.    the Help menu item or the question mark icons...

  68. A. We can only take orders with personal checks. Do *NOT* send cash,
  69.    even if you are in another country. For foreign orders, please use

  86. Q. What is the upgrade policy?
  87. A. When you register, I will send you a code and a certificate. Upon release
  88.    of major upgrades, I will notify you with a post card. The cost of
  89.    duplication and mailing has gotten out of hand, so upgrades will cost
  90.    a nominal $5 if you need a new diskette. Or you can wait to find the
  91.    program on a local BBS. The codeword will always work for future 
  92.    editions.

  95. A. Yes! I am always open to suggestions! This software is made for
  96.    anyone who cares about type. Designers, DTPers, layout artists,
  97.    print shops, publishers, etc, this sofware is for you. If you have
  98.    any suggestions, spec sheet ideas, interface notes, let me know.
